Over the last 3 years, I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know a large number of the students in Christians on Campus. I have observed closely how they contact and interact with other students.
I have been especially impressed with how students in Christians on Campus relate to other Christian students, always being diligent to keep the oneness (Eph 4:3) . Many Christian students (contacted by Christians on Campus) are weak in the faith. They do not know the Lord or the truths in the Bible that well and they sometimes feel intimidated by Christians who are more mature. Other Christians are very strong in their love and devotion to the Lord, but, they struggle with how to go on with the Lord and how to fit in with other believers.
I have been so happy to see Christians on Campus practice of unity with other believers. They have followed the apostles teaching to receive the believers, even the weak ones (Rom 14:1) in the same way that Christ has received us (Rom 15:7). When they receive them, they do not pass judgment, rather they help the students, to extent the student will allow, to know Christ experientially (Phil 3:10b), to gain Christ (Phil 3:8b) practically, so that they may be found in Christ (Phil 3:9) by all who observe them. The students in Christians on Campus are the best testimony of living Christ. (Phil 1:21)
Time and time again I have seen the Lord working through members of Christians on Campus, helping weak Christian students and more mature Christian students, make solid, visible, tangible progress in pursing Christ, growing in Christ and being built up with other believers on the campus and in the city where they live. I truly believe that Christians on Campus' practice of being one with other believers has positioned them to receive the Lord's commanded blessing of life (Psalm 133) fulfilling the Lord's prayer in John 17:20-23.
I have been a Christian since early childhood, but I can truthfully say, without doubt, my experience with Christians on Campus has been one of the highlights of my Christian life.
